Such characters should be newbie friendly. There's no question Dodge Roll is hard to use effectively, and Fish is a mascott of Nuclear Throne, a character unlocked at the start. The very idea is fundamentally broken, and the niche is already taken by Plant anyway! Scrap the ability and give Fish something else.
I don't think it's possible to give Fish a useful ability based on moving fast in combat. Rolling in combat does the opposite - it gives you LESS time to react, and without Throne Butt your character is impossible to steer. Fast reflexes and/or careful play are needed to survive. Nuclear Throne is not a game about kiting, and that's great. What am I supposed to do with that ? I mostly use it for backtracking, and judging by youtube vids I'm not alone.Įven the idea of abrupty increasing movement speed in combat is questionable. Honestly it looks like solution looking for a problem.

Heavy Heart - increases the chance for enemies to drop weapons, which is always useful when playing Robot.Open Mind - Robot's ability to eat spare weapons means that this mutation's random effects will always be useful, and it is a guaranteed extra resource on every level.Back Muscle will allow you to carry a greater supply and will ensure you rarely run out of ammo. Back Muscle - Robot's ability creates health and ammo, which means sometimes you will reach the max ammo capacity.Second Stomach - eating guns will heal you for double the amount.Throne Butt - choosing Throne Butt is always a welcome addition, as it will double the amount of consumables Robot receives.With Robot's passive ability 'Better Tech', it will also find stronger weapons sooner, making this character arguably the strongest in the early stages of the game (weapon wise).
